About Assam Orunodoi 3.0
The Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme was introduced by the state’s chief minister Sri Himanta Biswa on October 2, 2020. An extended welfare program called Assam Orunodoi 3.0 aims to give financially disadvantaged women in Assam support. The goal of this improved Orunodoi initiative is to increase the number of recipients from the previous 17 lakhs to 37 lakhs. The previous amount of Rs. 830 per month would be increased to Rs. 1,250 for each qualifying lady. Low-income households will benefit from the program, which will guarantee prompt and effective support through direct bank transfers.
The beneficiaries will receive a direct bank transfer (DBT) credit for the financial aid. This program aids in the women’s economic independence as well as the ongoing enhancement of the dependent children’s health and nutritional status.
